Ophelia's sisters Diora Bickel and Julia Goodell are also buried here in the Agency Cemetery. The picture that I have posted of Ophelia is from the book, "Descendants of Thomas M. Truitt," by Robert W. Butler II. Ophelia's middle name is shown as Elma in her obituary and on her death record. Truitt, died at her home near Agency at 2:40 a.m. today. Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Laurence, of Ottumwa, and two grandchildren. She was an active member of the Methodist Episcopal church. Funeral services will be held at the Agency Methodist Episcopal church Wednesday at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. C.R. Reed. Burial will be made in Agency cemetery. The body will remain at the Lester Jay funeral home until 9 a.m. Wednesday, when it will be taken to the home.
