Description	:	Adams County Free Press November 20, 1941 Mrs. Charles Mills, 71, longtime resident of Cumberland vicinity died at 5:30 a.m. November 5, 1941 at her home 2 miles north of Cumberland following complications resulting from rheumatism which had left her an invalid the past 13 years. Ora Horton Mills was born October 31, 1876, the daughter of Ogden and Emily Horton of Wyoming, Iowa. Ora Horton Mills was born October 31, 1876, the daughter of Ogden and Emily Horton of Wyoming, Iowa. She was married December 14, 1897 and the couple lived their entire married life at Cumberland with the exception of seven years in Nebraska. Mr. Mills died November 8, 1937. Surviving are eight children: Roy, Levi, Mrs. Carl Pollock, and Mrs. Gilbert Lacey, all of Cumberland; Charles Jr., of Massena; Mrs. Roy Pollock of Atlantic; and Mrs. Bernice Krauth and Mrs. Percy Frederick of Corning; 20 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Emmons Horton of Salem, Oregon and Dr. Fred Horton of Newcastle, Wyoming; and a sister, Mrs. Eddie White of Monmouth, Oregon. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist church in Cumberland. The pastor, Rev. G. W. Woolard was in charge of the services, assisted by Rev. Lloyd Schubert of Cumberland Church of Christ. A male quartette composed of J. O. Stahl, William Roberts, Frank Jarvis, and Frank Walton sang "No Tears in Paradise." J. O. Stahl sang as a solo "I Don't Want to Cross the Jordan Alone." Mrs. J. O. Stahl played the accompaniments. Pallbearers were Gilbert Lacy, Jr., Leo Krauth, Rex Krauth, James Pollock, and Roy Krauth. Interment was in the Greenwood cemetery.
