December 21 at 9 am at Tennant Funeral Home followed by a Memorial Mass at 10 am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Michael Bodzioch celebrating. He married Rosemary Lambrecht on January 14, 1956 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Sterling, and they enjoyed almost 60 years of marriage together. He was a rancher and farmer in the Merino area. Oren was a member of the Elks Club. He enjoyed farming and ranching, card parties, polka dancing, and gatherings with family and friends. He is survived by his sons Doug and Laura Nicholson of Sterling, Ron and Tammy Nicholson of Brighton, and Randy and Brenda Nicholson of Severence; grandchildren Jarod and Lindsey Nicholson, Kory Nicholson, Ashton and Ben Sheafor, Natalie Nicholson, Hillary Nicholson, Dylan Nicholson, and Levi Nicholson; great-grandchildren; Blake and Kennedy Nicholson, Weston Sheafor; sisters Beulah Pachner, and Shirley Kutchar, and many nieces and nephews. Oren was preceded in death by his wife Rosemary Nicholson, parents Oren Sr, and Goldie Nicholson, and siblings Marvel and Leona. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Oren's name, may be made to St. Anthony's Catholic Church, c/o Tennant Funeral Home, PO Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
