Troudt, the son of Adam and Mary Troudt, was born at Lawrence, Nebraska, on May 26, 1921. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith in Zion Lutheran Church, June 26, 1921. He attended the Mt. Clare Public School except for two years, during which time he attended Zion Parochial School. After completing his confirmation instructions, he was confirmed June 9, 1935 in the Zion Lutheran Church by Pastor F.W. Schulze. He farmed with his father in the Lawrence community until the spring of 1944. On March 6, 1944, he was united in marriage to Elsie Wehnes. This union was blessed with one son, Steven. He spent his years of married life farming the Nelson and Deweese community. He was a kind and loving husband, father and brother, always ready to lend a helping hand. He suffered a heart attack and suddenly departed this life on the eve of August 15, at the age of 51 years, 2 months, and 19 days. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Survivors are his wife, Elsie; one son, Steven of Nelson; a daughter-in-law, Debbra; one grand daughter, Jodi; one sister, Mrs. Henry (Leone) Meents of Blue Hill; besides a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 19, 1972, at 10 o'clock a.m. from the Salem Lutheran Church, Rural Superior, Nebraska, with the Rev. Edward Hiller officiating. Burial was in the Nelson, Nebraska Cemetery. The Klawitter Funeral Home of Nelson was in charge of arrangements. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, August 24, 1972
