Read More	Published by Oakcrest Funeral home, Wesley, IA in January, 2010 Orville Harold "Curly" Weiland was born May 2, 1930, in rural Wesley, the son of John B. and Della Marie (Thompson) Weiland. He attended Wesley Country School. Orville was united in marriage to Marilyn Price on June 8,1950, to this marriage five children were born. In March of 1977, he was united in marriage to Dorla Dangelser. Both had been divorced so together they combined their families and became friends with each others children and grandchildren. Orville worked for the Kossuth County Road Department for 42 years, retiring in 1992. He took great pride in his long term employment with the county. He was also a long time member of the United Methodist Church in Wesley. Orville liked to play golf with his sons and golf buddies at Hillside Golf Course. He always enjoyed a good cup of Earl Grey tea and the company and conversation that went with it. He had a passion for clean and shiny vehicles. After retirement Orville enjoyed a good ol' snow storm knowing that he wouldn't have to "man the plow" for hours on end. He loved visiting with children and especially his grandchildren. Orville died Sunday, January 10, 2010, at the Algona Manor Care Center. He was 79. He is survived by his five children, Patricia (Robert) Frayne of Clear Lake; David (Susan) Weiland of Algona; Betty (Craig) Erpelding of Algona; Judy (Dave)Weber of Corwith and Jon (Janelle) of Britt; two step-sons, Jeff (Linda) Dangelser of Manson; Adrian (Tammy) Dangelser of Boone; 12 grandchildren: Tara, Marc, Matthew, Ryan, Jill, Candace, Emily, Tyler, Elise, Jacob, Jenna and Jordan; three step-grandchildren, Clint, Alex and Amber and 10 great-grandchildren.
