Read More	Sioux Valley News 9-13-1928 CANTON YOUTH DIES IN NORTH DAKOTA; BURIED HERE TODAY Sad and touch funeral services were held here on Wednesday afternoon for Orville Hustel, 17 year old Canton youth, who died last Saturday, September 8th, 1928, at Mott, North Dakota. Orville Hustel, well known and popular among the people of Canton and vicinity, several weeks ago went up to the vicinity of Mott where he was engaged in doing trucking of farm produce for Mr. James Carpenter of Canton, who owns a farm near there. In that vicinity are also located several families formerly of Canton, namely Mr. and Mrs. Ole Opland and Severt Skartvedt. For several days preceding Orville's death his companions state that he complained of not feeling well but he did not think much of the matter at the time. However, last Friday afternoon he became seriously ill and word of this was telegraphed here. His mother, Mrs. S. Hustel, and sister, Miss Lorna, left immediately for his bedside. Before they reached there a message was sent to relatives in this city telling of his death at two o'clock Saturday afternoon. Upon word of his death, an uncle, Mr. Theodore Torberson, of Beresford, went to Mott to assist in bringing his body home for burial. His body was brought back to his home in this city and funeral services were held from the house Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock, Rev. Edw. Nervig of Canton and Rev. O. Steensland of Colton officiating. Mr. M.P. Juel rendered two beautiful solos and Miss Mary Fahlenkamp also assisted with one. Friends of Orville's boyhood days acted as pallbearers. They were Byron and Earnest Torberson, George Mathison, Lorraine Sandvig, and Lester Tysland. Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery. Orville Hustel was born at Canton March 11th, 1911. He was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church. He received a large part of his education in the Canton schools and last year attended high school in Minneapolis. He leaves to mourn his mother, Mrs. S. Hustel, and his sister, Miss Lorna. His father preceded him in death in 1914 in Norway, where the family was visiting at that time.
