Read More	Orville J. Bjorkman, 86, of Aurora died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at Memorial Community Care. Orville was born June 1, 1924, near Hordville to John Simon and Alfreda (Johnson) Bjorkman. Orville was united in marriage to Shirley Peterson on May 22, 1948. Survivors are: wife, Shirley of Aurora; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Bjorkman of Arlington, Randy and Linda Bjorkman of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Mike and Jo Ann Bjorkman of Phillips; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Rodney Howland of Aurora and Dee Ann and Dave Hart of Doniphan; sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Don Peterson of Aurora; grandchildren, Kyle Howland, Jay Howland, David Bjorkman, Dan Bjorkman, Jesse Bjorkman, Mandy (Bjorkman) Hilsabeck, Eric Bjorkman, Jonathan Hart, Lindy (Hart) Borer and 12 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Orville was a baptized member of the Methodist Church in Hordville. He graduated from Hordville High School in 1941. Orville attended Nebraska Central College and taught school in Hamilton County. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1945, where he served as an Air Traffic Controller in Japan during World War II. Following his military service he returned to Hamilton County near Phillips, where he operated a dairy farm and was a seed corn grower. Orville enjoyed sports, especially bowling. He also enjoyed music and often sang with the men's quartet at the Monroe Evangelical Free Church. Orville was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Miley Bjorkman; sisters, Dorothy Burke, Verna Brooks, Malinda Klawonn and Hannah Jones and a great-granddaughter.
