Description	:	Orville M Weber, 91, of Adams, passed away January 1, 2019 at Gold Crest Retirement Center. He was born January 6, 1927 in Gage County, to HB and Emma Weber. He was a lifelong farmer and resident of the Adams community. He served in the Korean war and was a proud veteran and active member of the American Legion and charter member of the Adams VFW, participating in the Korean Honor Flight. Read More	Orville M Weber, 91, of Adams, passed away January 1, 2019 at Gold Crest Retirement Center. He was born January 6, 1927 in Gage County, to HB and Emma Weber. He was a lifelong farmer and resident of the Adams community. He served in the Korean war and was a proud veteran and active member of the American Legion and charter member of the Adams VFW, participating in the Korean Honor Flight. He served his community as an officer of the school board, the rural fire board and the coop board for many years. He was a past member of the Hopewell Methodist Church and present member of the American Lutheran Church in Adams. On June 1, 1949, Orville married Mary Lee Finkner. Orville enjoyed farming, baseball, softball, his family, and virtually everyone he met. He was patient, kind, and leaves behind many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lee, his parents, HB and Emma (Busch) Weber and siblings, John, Chris, Gertrude Dissmeyer, Bertha Schmidt, Earl, Rollie, Harold, Lester, Martin, Lyle, Calvin, Dale, and spouses, brother Arthur, and brothers in law, Albert Klein, Cliff Veerhusen and Kenneth Walker. Survivors include son, Mark Weber and wife Becky of Adams, grandson and wife, Max and Katy Weber of Washington DC, granddaughter Katherine Weber of Garmisch, Germany; daughter, Lisa Sanne of Beatrice, granddaughter, Kailey Mustin and husband Chris of Beatrice, great grandchildren, Alexia and Carter Mustin of Beatrice, granddaughter, Jacie Sanne, grandson, Jaryn Sanne and Lacey Vinsonhaler, great granddaughter Amelia Sanne; son, David Weber and friend Melissa Probst of Adams, granddaughter, Raegan Weber of Lincoln, and granddaughter, Tarstin Boosinger of Adams; Sisters: LaVerna Klein, Marjorie VanEngen and husband Wayne, all of Adams, and brother in law Dr John Finkner and wife Phyllis of Minden; sisters in law, Janet Weber, Marlene Veerhusen, both of Adams, and Sharon Walker of Branson, Mo, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, January 7, 2019 at the American Lutheran Church in Adams with Reverend Nathan Metzger officiating. Interment will be in the Highland Cemetery in Adams with military graveside services provided by the Adams American Legion and VFW Posts. The body will lie in state Sunday from 1-8:00 PM at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Adams with the family greeting friends from 4-6:00 PM, and at the church one hour preceding the service on Monday. A family prayer service will be held at 9:45 AM Monday at the church. A memorial has been established to the family’s choice with Melvin Dissmeyer and Steve Robeson in charge.
