Leeka was driving west into Adel. Leeka was driving west into Adel. At the east end of the bridge on Highway 6 his car collided with the rear of a gasoline transport which had stopped because another truck was in trouble on the bridge. Leeka apparently failed to see that the transport had stopped. He was taken to the Perry Hospital and passed away at 10:13 PM of injuries. This death marked the second fatality in the past three weeks. The first occurred when an Ogden man, Hans Jones, died of injuries on April 13." Orville eloped with Cleo Bing, age fifteen, of Cameron MO. in 1921. In 1923 they had a son, Darwin Eugene Leeka. Orville & Cleo divorced, probably in the late 1930s. The 1930 Census has them living in Clinton County MO with Orville working as a laborer on a railroad bridge crew. Cleo is buried as Cleo Chinn, beside her son, Darwin Eugene Leeka, in Graceland Cemetery, Clinton County MO.
