Orvin was baptized on Sunday July 28, 1912 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church at Snyder. Orvin attended Snyder public school. Orvin was baptized on Sunday July 28, 1912 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church at Snyder. Orvin attended Snyder public school. Orvin was united in marriage to Helen Engelbrecht on Thursday December 3, 1936 at Trinity Lutheran Church at rural Scribner, Dodge County. The couple were blessed with two daughters over the years of their marriage. On Sunday April 10, 1938 at Trinity Lutheran Church he was confirmed. Orvin was a past member of the Trinity Parochial School Board. Orvin and Helen farmed north of Snyder. Orvin was a lifetime resident of the Scribner and Snyder area. Orvin was a member of Trinity Lutheran until the church closed in September of 1986, then became a member of St. Peter Lutheran at Scribner. Sadly Orvin passed on Wednesday October 29, 1997 at the Good Samaritan Care Center at Scribner at the age of 85 years, 4 months, 29 days which does not include his last day, he lived a total of 31,197 days. Orvin's funeral services were held Saturday November 1, 1997 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church at Scribner with Pastor Donald Brunner officiating. Brenda Lamberty was the organist. Orvin was interred in the Trinity Church Cemetery at rural Scribner. Orvin's information was provided from researching many resources and my memory.
