He was born September 12, 1886, in Adrain Township in Jackson County, Northeast of Emmett where he spent his life. He had been a farmer and stockman. He married to Blanche Isnogle, October 28, 1909. Read More	Obituary; Oscar Gideon Oscar Gideon, 85, Route 1, Emmett, died Friday in a Topeka hospital where he had been a patient since Auguar 17. He had pneumonia. He was born September 12, 1886, in Adrain Township in Jackson County, Northeast of Emmett where he spent his life. He had been a farmer and stockman. He married to Blanche Isnogle, October 28, 1909. She died in March 1949. Children born to them were: Two sons -- Garland R. Gideon, Paxico and Thomas I. Gideon, 209 Mission, St. Marys; Two daughters -- Mrs. Jack T. (Barbara Hines, Topeka, and Serita Maureen Whaley, Ontario Calif. A daughter Mstguarite Vandervort, died in 1965. There are eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Two brothers also survive. They are Mora E. Gideon and Lloyd Gideon, both of Topeka. Three sister, Mrs. Maude Woodworth and May Segrist, both of Topeka, and Hannah Gideon, Holton, aloso survive. Two sisters, Allie Gideon and Myrtle Reidered preceded him in death. He was married to Doris Johnston on June 4, 1949, at Kansas City, Mo. She survives. Their only son, Oscar Gideon Jr., live at home. Service were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Mercer Funeral home at Holton. Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery northeast Emmett.
