Wis., and passed away from this life March 6, 1951, age 90 years, three months, and 11 days. He was the sixth child of a family of nine children and the last to pass on. At the age of 14, together with his parents, three brothers, and five sisters he moved In a covered wagon from Wisconsin to Dodge county, Minn. They led their cow behind the wagon while his mother and two younger sisters followed with a horse and buggy. On Dec. 25, 1883, he was married to Eleanor Margaret Gibbons at her home near West Concord, Minn.; Elder Wescott of the Baptist church officiated. They started their home immediately on a farm two miles south of town; later moving to a farm they purchased two and one-half miles northwest of this town. They made this their home until they moved to Lamoni, in October, 51 years ago. They lived together 62 years, one month, and four days prior to the death of Mrs. Prall which occurred a little more than six years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Pratt had four sons, Charles E. of Greensboro, N. C., dean of the Women's college of the University of North Carolina; Dr. Elmer C. of Mt. Vernon; and Willard 0. and Wilber E. of Lamoni. All survive and were present except Charles E. They also had eight grandchildren, six of whom are living; namely, Carl W. Prall and Mrs. Lois Walden of Des Moines; Mrs. Dorothy Kelley of Sioux City; Miss Paula Prall of Mt. Vernon; and Gary and Wayne Prall of Lamoni. There are also seven great-grandchildren, all of whom survive. Mr. and Mrs. Prall, together with his father, united with the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Aug. 4, 1895, and all remained faithful members until their death. For many years he engaged in farming, later drove a bus and carried mail from Lamoni to Togo, and he was custodian of the old Brick church until it burned on. Jan. 29, 1931. After this, he engaged in gardening until he retired at the age of 86 years. Services were held in the Chapel Thursday, March 8, at 2 p.m. Elder Robert S. Farnham was the speaker and prayer was offered by S. C. Bethel.
