Mr. Houser died at 7 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 1973, at the Windsor Estates Nursing Home, Camdenton, where he had been a patient 25 days. Mr. Houser died at 7 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 1973, at the Windsor Estates Nursing Home, Camdenton, where he had been a patient 25 days. Mr. Houser retired in April 1971, from the Stanton Novelty Co., Lake Ozark, where he had been employed 34 years. The son of the late George M. and Nancy R. (Downing) Houser, he was born March 10, 1905 in the Horseshoe Bend area on a farm along the Osage River that later became part of the Lake of the Ozarks. He attended Squatter School, and lived in that area all of his life until moving to Osage Beach six years ago. He was a member of the old Riverview Baptist Church in Horseshoe Bend and was the last living charter member of the move to the new Riverview Church at Highways 54 and 42. Mr. Houser was married at Eldon April 12, 1930 to Mariam Allison. She died March 13, 1956. On December 1967 he was married at Tuscumbia to Mrs. Wilma White who survives at the home. Mr. Houser is also survived by two daughters, Mrs. Flora Wall of Brumley and Mrs. Erma Vernon of Eldon; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Lois Moseley of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mrs. Patsy Hurtubise of Osage Beach and Mrs. Macia Cunningham of Macks Creek; four stepsons, Leonard Clark of Anchorage, Alaska, Nyle Clark of Kansas City, Kansas, Cecil Clark of Raymore and Conley Clark of Camdenton; five sisters, Mrs. Etta Stark of Eldon, Mrs. Ola Ballard of Cross Timbers, Mrs. Vertie White of Eldon, Mrs. Sadie Whittle of Henley and Mrs. Sylvia Irwin of Iberia; two brothers, Orvie Houser of Stoutland and Otis Houser of Lebanon and five grandchildren. The Rev. George Cox officiated at the funeral services Saturday. Burial was in the Riverview Church Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Griswold-Kays Funeral Home of Eldon.
