He came with his parents in 1867 to Kansas and settled on a farm three miles from Emporia, Kans., where he grew to manhood. When 25 years of age he was converted and united with the Methodist Church and remained faithful to the end, being a member of Trinity at the same time of his departure. Ill., August 21,1857 and died June 8. 1925 in lo!a. Kansas. He came with his parents in 1867 to Kansas and settled on a farm three miles from Emporia, Kans., where he grew to manhood. When 25 years of age he was converted and united with the Methodist Church and remained faithful to the end, being a member of Trinity at the same time of his departure. He was united in marriage to Miss Alice Adams in 1887 to which union four children were born, all of whom survive him. He moved to lola in 1889 where he since lived, save two years on a farm at Langton. Kans. He leaves to mourn his loss a loving companion, four children, James F., Hutchinson. Kans.; .Allen W., Muskogee, Okla.. .Mrs. Mable Cannon, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Mrs. Luceal Boyer of LaHarpe. Kans : three sisters., Mrs. Bess Norton, Emporia. Kans., Mrs. Kitt Hillerman and Mrs. Minnie Henderson of Parsons; three brothers, Chas. of Buffalo. N. Y., D. Z., of Emporia, and Bruce F. of Topeka and five grandchildren, besides a host of friends and neighbors. The funeral services were held from the Adams-Hesser Chapel yesterday at .2:30 p. m. by the Rev. Noah W. A. Gilbert, of Trinity Methodist church. Music by the Trinity male quartette.
