Mr. Bowers came to Munden from Cheyenne county, Kansas, at an early age to live with his grandparents. Read More	Belleville (KS) Telescope - 1 Jan 1953 Oscar William Bowers Oscar William Bowers, son of George and Amanda Bowers, was born February 23, 1877, near Gaundy Center, Iowa, and died December 22, 1952 at Belleville, at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 29 days. Mr. Bowers came to Munden from Cheyenne county, Kansas, at an early age to live with his grandparents. On March 9, 1898 he was married to Mary Elnora McDougal and to this union were born four children. After his marriage he moved to a farm two miles east of Munden. He lived there until three years ago when he moved to Belleville. He was a good parent, neighbor and citizen and a firm believer in God and religion. Mr. Bowers is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Borrnet of Cuba, Joy W. Bowers of Munden, and Mrs. Bernice Chartier of Concordia, a son, Lyle W. Bowers of Cuba, their mother, one brother Ted Bowers of Bird City, and three sons, Freddie, Alvin and Billy, by a later marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 24 at Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart chapel, Belleville, with the Rev. John Neese officiating. Burial was in Ida cemetery, Munden.
