He was born August 22, 1859, in Exeter, Ill., and came to Kansas in 1868, settling in Berryton, where he lived until 1918. He was a member of the United Brethren church. He is survived by eight daughters, Mrs. D.V. Herrick, Collins, Mo.; Mrs. W.N. Tillman, Scranton; Mrs. N.M. Foltz, Wakarusa; Mrs. Walter Kneale, route 9, Topeka; Mrs. E.K. Cole, San Bernardino, Calif.; Mrs. Harry McCrea, Topeka; Mrs. Rollo Weeks, Matfield Green, Kan.; and Mrs. James W. Green, San Bernardino, Calif.; two sons, Vernon C. Burbank, Richland, and Lawrence S. Burbank, Meriden; two sisters, Mrs. B.F. Reed, Ellensburg, Wash., and Mrs. Howard Faust, Auburn; 29 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Topeka State Journal, Monday, September 15, 1941, page 5, column 8: Burbank -- Funeral services for Otis Burbank, who died Friday, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Wall-Diffenderfer mortuary. Burial in Lynn Creek cemetery.
