A native of Union County, he was the husband of Merle Linder Gault and son of the late Edgar Wallace Gault and the late Ruth Childers Gault. Read More	Otis Gault - Owner of Gault's Used Cars and Auto Sales - COWPENS – Otis Gault, 79, of 132 Rutledge Street, formerly of Redbud Lane, Gaffney, died Wednesday, December 17, 2003, in the Mary Black Memorial Hospital. A native of Union County, he was the husband of Merle Linder Gault and son of the late Edgar Wallace Gault and the late Ruth Childers Gault. He was owner of Gault's Used Cars and Auto Sales, a member of Berry Memorial Baptist Church and a U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Jim Gault of Troy, Ill., Bob Gault of Front Royal, Virginia and Rick Gault of Spartanburg; a daughter, Roxanne Gault Donnan of Clinton; a stepson, Rusty Humphries of Cowpens; two stepdaughters, Robin Gorrell Blanton of Granite City, Ill., and Melissa James of Cowpens; a brother, Edgar "Rock" Gault Jr. of Gaffney; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday at 1 P.M. at the Berry Memorial Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Michael Miller and Terry Wilson. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Body will be placed in the church at 12:30 P.M. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 at Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the residence, 132 Rutledge Street, Cowpens. Memorials may be made to Cherokee County Crisis Center or St. Luke's Free Clinic in Spartanburg.
