Description	:	MAYODAN — Otis Samuel Priddy, 93, died at his daughter's home on Thursday, July 17, 2008. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 20, at Woodbine Baptist Church with Dr. James Crews officiating. Interment will follow in Ayersville Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Priddy was born in Rockingham County on August 20, 1914, to the late Ben M. and Tidy Holt Priddy. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 20, at Woodbine Baptist Church with Dr. James Crews officiating. Interment will follow in Ayersville Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Priddy was born in Rockingham County on August 20, 1914, to the late Ben M. and Tidy Holt Priddy. He was owner and operator of Priddy's Grocery in "Possum Town", Mayodan, and was a founding member of Woodbine Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Marian Griffin Priddy; brothers, Louie Priddy and Edgar Priddy; and sister, Della P. Lemons. Survivors include his daughter, Barbara P. Porter and husband, Bob, and brother, Hassell Priddy, all of Mayodan; sisters, Gladys Richardson of Ellerbe and Ruby Richardson of Mayodan; grandsons, Anthony Porter, David Porter and wife, Jennifer, and Philip Porter and wife, Jennifer; and six great-grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at Colonial Funeral Home and all other times at the home of Bob and Barbara Porter, 138 Auction Road, Mayodan, N.C. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hands of God Ministry, P.O. Box 358, Madison, NC 27025. Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
