A prayer vigil is 8 this evening, and funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday, both at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Havre, with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Havre. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include daughters Alice Mewbourn of Rollins and Jean Barragan of Lakeside a son, Thomas D. Her grandchildren are Lynn Meyers and husband Thad Hopper of Douglas, Alaska, Mark Weishaar and wife Patti of Billings, and Capt. Jason Sutton and wife Christy of Hampton, Virginia and her great-grandchildren are Elisha and Aiden Sutton of Hampton, Virginia. She was born Ottilia Caroline Fisher on Oct. 15, 1914, to Joseph and Theresa (Burkhartsmeyer) Fisher, in Strausberg, N.D. She grew up and was educated in the farming community of Goldstone just north of Rudyard, Mont. Tillie married Earl Raymond Kellar on Feb. 18, 1938, at Goldstone, and they lived in Cedar Falls, Iowa Lavina and Joplin, Mont., where Earl was a teacher and a coach. Later the family relocated to Havre, where Tillie was a fulltime homemaker and raised five children. Tillie and Earl divorced in 1959. Tillie worked in motel management for 20 years at the Le Havre Inn, Duck Inn Motel, and Cloud Nine, before moving to Great Falls to manage the Crestview Inn. She was a lifelong member of St. Jude's Church, a charter member of St. Ann's Circle, belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles, the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen Auxiliary, and Alanon. Tillie enjoyed sewing and quilting, and along with her mother and aunt, prepared quilts and rugs for the Montana pioneer exhibit on early settlers at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. In March of 2000, in failing health, Tillie moved to the Flathead Valley to be near her daughters and resided at Wel Life Assisted Living in Kalispell. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Theresa Fisher brothers John and Mike Fisher and sisters Katy Whaley and Martha Hanson Colling.
