Death was attributed to heart disease and uremia. She had been in poor health several years. She was 71 years, eleven months and twelve days old at the time of her passing. Death was attributed to heart disease and uremia. She had been in poor health several years. She was 71 years, eleven months and twelve days old at the time of her passing. Mrs. Hanefeldt, whose maiden name was Ottilie Rosine Witt, was born in Germany May 3, 1865. The date of her death was April 15, 1937. She grew to womanhood in Germany and was married there to August Hanefeldt on June 25, 1883. They lived on a farm in that country till 1888, when they came to the United States. They settled almost immediately in Knox county. Mr. Hanefeldt buying the farm northeast of here now occupied by two sons. This was their home till 1912, when they moved to Plainview. In 1928 they moved to Creighton. Devoted to her family, Mrs. Hanefeldt was a devout Christian woman. A member of the Zion Lutheran church, she attended regularly until the last few years, when ill health prevented. Her husband, five children, two sisters, a brother, ten grandchildren and a host of friends mourn her passing. The children are: Mrs. Anna Streich, Pierce, Emil and William of near Center; Mrs. Emma Jorgensen, Niobrara and Max of near Plainview. A sixth child, a son, died in infancy. The two surviving sisters and the brother are Mrs. John Luckert of Bloomfield, Mrs. Theodore Streich of Osmond and Wm. Witt of Creighton. Funeral services were held at the home at 10:30 and at Zion Evangelical Lutheran church here at 11 o'clock Monday morning. The Rev. Harold Hoff of Randolph, temporarily serving the church as pastor, officiated. Burial was made in Greenwood cemetery.
