Description	:	Ottillia (Tillie) Allmer, 90, of Beulah, ND, our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully and was welcomed into her Heavenly Father’s arms, February 21st, 2012, under the care of Hospice at the Knife River Care Center, Beulah. Tillie was born March 4, 1922 on a farm southwest of Beulah to Christ and Rosina (Scheck) Unruh. Read More	Ottillia (Tillie) Allmer, 90, of Beulah, ND, our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully and was welcomed into her Heavenly Father’s arms, February 21st, 2012, under the care of Hospice at the Knife River Care Center, Beulah. Tillie was born March 4, 1922 on a farm southwest of Beulah to Christ and Rosina (Scheck) Unruh. Her mother, Rosina, passed away from tuberculosis when Tillie was only three-years-old and her father then remarried a nurse from Berlin, Germany, Katharina Hoffman, who raised Tillie and her seven siblings, Lydia, Emma, Rose, Ida, John, Frieda and Helen. Christ and Katharina went on to have five more children, Reuben, Roland, Armin, Rudolph and Ruth. Tillie was educated in a rural country school up until the eighth grade. She married the love of her life, William (Bill) Allmer, on December 3rd, 1940 in Glen Ullin, North Dakota. To this union, they were blessed with four sons; Norman, John, James and Mark. Bill and Tillie lived on a farm until 1947 when they moved into Beulah and Bill became employed with the Knife River Coal Mine. They were married for 51 years. Bill died on May 6th, 1991. Tillie joined Calvary Baptist Church and came to know Christ as her Savior at the age of 25. Tillie served as a Sunday School teacher and also taught vacation bible school. She started a Good News Club for boys and girls in her home and brought many young children to the Lord. She loved to write true stories and poems and had many of them published in newspapers and pamphlets and devotional books. It was Tillie’s joy to cook and have her family gathered around the table. She was especially known for her homemade fleischkuechle, German doughnuts and fudge. She was notorious for her cookie jar always being full of cookies and her Christmas delivery of cookies to friends and neighbors. She enjoyed planting and tending her own garden and loved to can her own fruits and vegetables. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing alongside Bill. She faithfully attended church services, bible studies and prayer services at Immanuel Baptist Church, where she was a long time member. She became a resident of Knife River Care Center, December 1, 2003 where she continued to attend church services, bible devotion services and German singing. She shared her faith whenever possible even in the last few weeks of her life and was a witness to all she came across. She loved to play the accordion, organ, piano and harmonica and sing hymns; especially in German and was a blessing to all. Tillie is survived by four sons, and seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters; and four brothers. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and five sisters, one brother, and one great-granddaughter, Shaundra Mlekoday. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Hazen Hospice, Knife River Care Center or Immanuel Baptist Church. “WELL DONE, THOU GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT, ENTER THOU INTO THE JOY OF THY LORD.”-MATTHEW 25:21. ARRANGEMENTS CONDUCTED BY BARBOT-SEIBEL FUNERAL HOMES, BEULAH AND HAZEN Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Immanuel Baptist Church, Beulah with Pastor Aron Utecht officiating. Interment will follow at the Immanuel Baptist Cemetery, Beulah. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM CST on Monday at Barbot-Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah.
