Helland, 89, Cooperstown, were held at the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Chapel in Cooperstown, Saturday, March 5. He died March 2, 1994, at the Griggs County Nursing Home in Cooperstown where he had been a resident since April of 1991. Otto was born June 29, 1904, near Binford, ND, the son os Arnt and Martha (Helland) Helland. He attended school there and worked for several Griggs County farmers. Helland, 89, Cooperstown, were held at the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Chapel in Cooperstown, Saturday, March 5. He died March 2, 1994, at the Griggs County Nursing Home in Cooperstown where he had been a resident since April of 1991. Otto was born June 29, 1904, near Binford, ND, the son os Arnt and Martha (Helland) Helland. He attended school there and worked for several Griggs County farmers. In 1936, he moved to Hanover, IL, and was similarly employed. In 1952, he returned to North Dakota and worked for Ronnie MacMillan of McVille until 1970 when he retired and moved to Fargo. He was employed at Ivers Apartments and Funeral Home and later, the Powers Hotel. He is survived by: three brothers, Rudolph Helland of Cooperstown, Kermit Helland of Binford, and Walter Helland of Wahpeton; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and a host of friends.
