Description	:	Tuesday afternoon,June 14, funeral services were held at the Peace Lutheran church here for Otto E. Oster, 48, Hazen farmer. Rev. T. F. Doyen officiated at the service. A family service proceeded the one at the church. In ill health for the past three and one half years, Mr. Oster had been hospitalized the past two weeks and died in the Bismarck hospital Saturday evening, June 11, shortly after eight o'clock. In ill health for the past three and one half years, Mr. Oster had been hospitalized the past two weeks and died in the Bismarck hospital Saturday evening, June 11, shortly after eight o'clock. Mr. Oster was a native of Hazen. Born January 30, 1907 the son of Ben and Lydia Frank Oster of Hazen, he attended Mercer county schools. On September 30, 1928, he was married to Freida Sailer at Hazen. Mr. Oster was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of Peace Lutheran church. He was a grain and stock farmer and had farmed two miles west of Hazen since 1928. Besides widow and parents, he leaves three sons, Ernest, James amd John, all at home. One daughter died in infancy. He is survived by three brothers, Herman of Reeder, Edwin of Hazen, and Paul of Renton, Wash, and one sister, Natalie Oster of Hazen. Active pallbearers at the final rites were Leland Oster, Roland Froeschle, Walter Sailer, Hubert Ellwein, Leavard Sailer, and Paul Knecht. Honorary pallbearers were John McLaughlin, Joe McLaughlin, Christ Alkire, Ed Nelson, Lawrence Alkire, Albert Christman, Ed Knoell, and Karl Schultz. Buriel was made in the church's cemetery. ============================
