Description	:	Otto Henry Behnken Jr. was born to his loving parents Otto Henry Sr. and Pauline Agnes (Mott) Behnken on Monday March 9, 1931 at Franklin Township, Cass County Iowa. Otto was raised in the Wiota community, he graduated from Wiota High in 1949. Otto served in the US Army where he was stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. Read More	Otto Henry Behnken Jr. was born to his loving parents Otto Henry Sr. and Pauline Agnes (Mott) Behnken on Monday March 9, 1931 at Franklin Township, Cass County Iowa. Otto was raised in the Wiota community, he graduated from Wiota High in 1949. Otto served in the US Army where he was stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. Otto was united in marriage to Donna Schwanke on Saturday January 12, 1952 at the Zion Lutheran Church at Atlantic, Cass County. The couple were blessed with two daughters and a son over the years of their marriage. Otto and Donna farmed south of Wiota, Cass County plus he was employed evenings for Valley Oil Company for thirty years. Otto enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, NSACAR, but his passion was farming. Otto was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Atlantic and a member of the German-American Society at Omaha, Douglas County Nebraska. Otto was a resident of the Wiota and Atlantic area all of his life. Sadly Otto passed at Caring Acres Nursing and Rehab at Anita, Cass County on Monday June 26, 2017 at the age of 86 years, 3 months, 17 days which does not include his last day, he lived a total of 31,521 days. Otto's visitation was held on Thursday June 29, 2017 from 9a to 5p at the Hockenberry Family Care at Atlantic. Otto's funeral service was held at the Zion Lutheran Church at Atlantic on Friday June 30, 2017 at 10a. Otto was interred in the First Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery also known as the Franklin Cemetery south of Wiota Iowa. Otto's information was provided from researching many resources and my memory. This biography was created as an honor to Otto by a family relative Loren R. I believe all lives matter, even the lives of those who have passed.
