Herre Rites Thursday Funeral services for Otto Melon Herre, 57, of O’Neil, former Fremont resident, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m., in the Fred Bader Chapel, the Rev. Albert C. Becker officiating. Mr. Herre, a retired jeweler, was born at Dodge on May 13, 1898, and died in an Omaha hospital Tuesday. He came to Fremont shortly after birth and lived here until 1919 when he moved to Superior. He was in the jewelry business at Superior and married Olive Hursh on Dec. 12, 1920. He retired several years ago at O’Neil where he had lived since 1932. Surviving are his widow, a son, James R. of Beatrice, a brother, Julius T. of Crescenta, Calif., a sister, Mrs. Jack Pickard of Fremont, and two grandchildren. His father, R. M. Herre preceded him in death June 22. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery.
