Description	:	Ovid H. Parks Died In Salisbury Hospital After A Long Illness Mr. Ovid H. Parks died in Salisbury hospital Friday morning of last week at the age of 61 years. He was born in Fairmount, the son of the late Samuel H. and Laura Miles Parks, and at an early age came to Crisield with his parents where he had since resided. For most of his life Mr. Parks was engaged in the seafood business, and managed several of the leading establishments here. Parks Died In Salisbury Hospital After A Long Illness Mr. Ovid H. Parks died in Salisbury hospital Friday morning of last week at the age of 61 years. He was born in Fairmount, the son of the late Samuel H. and Laura Miles Parks, and at an early age came to Crisield with his parents where he had since resided. For most of his life Mr. Parks was engaged in the seafood business, and managed several of the leading establishments here. He retired from these activities several years ago, when his health began to fail. Well known and highly respected, he had scores of warm friends in the community who liked him for his unassuming manner and readiness to be helpful to others upon any occasion. He was a friendly man, a good citizen, and his death has caused sorrow in the community. He reposed at the Covington Funeral Home until Sunday afternoon at 230, when funeral services were held there, with Rev. Nevitt Evans, a long-time friend, pastor of the Church of God in Williamsport, Pa., and Rev. Tull, officiating. Interment was in the Crisfield cemetery. Bearers were Adolph Justice, Eugene Wharton, Charles Landon, Paul Ruark, Fred Smith and Verlil Daugherty. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. William Nock of Delmar, Del., and Mrs. D.W.
