She went to the Lord's House Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Oakland Heights in Oakland, Nebraska, at the age of 83 years. Patty was raised in rural Hooper along with her brother, Raymond and sister, Lorraine She graduated from Uehling High School in 1946. She went to the Lord's House Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Oakland Heights in Oakland, Nebraska, at the age of 83 years. Patty was raised in rural Hooper along with her brother, Raymond and sister, Lorraine She graduated from Uehling High School in 1946. On December 3, 1949, Patty and Carrol Johnson were married at the Congregational Church in Uehling, Nebraska. To this union five children were born: Christy, Roxie, Bub, Lane and Nancy Jo. Throughout their married life, they lived in Rosalie, Uehling, Bancroft, and Oakland. She worked at Kobs Korner for Lorraine and Virgil Landholm, and the Gambles Store for Dwain and Mina Johnson. Carrol and Patty purchased the Craig Grocery Store from Ronnie & Nonnie Rodgers, which they operated for fourteen years until they retired. Patty then cleaned houses and became a care giver for many years in the Oakland area. Patty was a member of the First Congregation Church/UCC and Ladies Aid in Uehling, VFW Auxiliary Post #196 in Uehling and VFW Auxiliary Post No. 83 in Lyons. She was a member of numerous card clubs in the Oakland, Craig and Uehling areas for many years. Patty was a classy lady who enjoyed socializing. She enjoyed her church, coffee times in Uehling and Oakland, drives in the country and most of all her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carrol; son, Lane; infant daughter, Nancy Jo; sister, Lorraine Landholm. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Christy and Dennis Jones of Oakland; Roxie Johnson of Lincoln, son and daughter-in-law, Bub and Joan Johnson of Lincoln; six grandchildren, Jeff Jones, Annie (Tim) Magnusson of Oakland, Jason (Carie) Jones, Heidi Johnson, Curt Johnson, Ben (Jessica) Johnson all of Lincoln; six great grandchildren, Wilson, Davis and Steele Jones, Ellen, Nolan and Carolyn Magnusson; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond (Gloria) Wedergren of Uehling; many nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, September, 29, 2012, 10:30 a.m., First Congregational Church - UCC, Uehling, NE. VISITATION: Friday, September 28, 2012, 1- 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 - 8 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Oakland. Visitation Saturday will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. BURIAL: Baptist Cemetery, rural Uehling, NE MEMORIALS: Baptist Cemetery, rural Uehling, NE.
