Patricia Ann soon revealed the zest for life and talents that led to her many years of service to her Lord. She became a Christian at an early age and began using her natural musical and artistic talents. She played the piano and organ, wrote and sang songs, and contributed aesthetically to worship and other special occasions. Many of her friends treasure her paintings, poetry, and writings. Patricia married Eulas Ray Greer on April 29, 1956. Shortly after their marriage Patricia joined the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, the Greer family's home church. The couple farmed in Benton and Carroll Counties. Patricia became known as a "people person" through her community service, work in a local department store, and presentation of special music throughout the area. Patricia and Eulas were blessed with two sons: Johnny Ray Greer and Edwin Daniel Greer (deceased). Their five grandchildren are Johnny Ray Greer II (deceased), Shelley Daniela, Andrea Ann, Bethany Danae, and Miranda Dianne. Patricia had one brother, Buford Cordell Brown, and four sisters: Margie Dean Webb (deceased), Janet Sue Miller, Belinda Gail Birginiak (deceased), and Helen Marie Craig. ln 1969 Eulas answered the call to ministry in The United Methodist Church. Pat, as known by the many churches they served, was an active minister's wife. Meeting everyone with a smile and encouraging words, she became a counselor, confidant, and friend. She obtained college credit at Jackson State Community College and studied with Rev. Eulas at Emory University. "The Ground is Level at the Foot of the Cross" became "Pat's song" as she lived the theme of seeing everyone as a precious child of God. Their pastorates include: Pickwick-Pisgah-Shiloh; Blooming Grove-Community GroveSeminary; North Camden Circuit; Dexter-Hardin-Olive; Manleyville Circuit; Bethel-Brooks Chapel; Center-Rehoboth; McLemoresville-Trezevant; Symsonia; and Cowell's ChapelShiloh. While they served the North Camden Circuit, they worked at Radio Station WFWL, hosting southern gospel music programs. They became acquainted with the Inspirations Quartet, establishing a friendship that led to the quartet spending many hours in the Greer home. Pat was active in United Methodist Women, holding local, district, and conference offices. She served as Membership, Nurture, and Outreach Coordinator for the Memphis Conference United Methodist Women. Pat enjoyed collecting and had a special eye for antiques and items that would help those in need. Never wanting special recognition and giving God the glory, she gave of her means as well as her time. Trips to the ocean and to the mountains were her favorite vacation experiences. Near the end of her battle with cancer, she sang "God on the Mountain" to sustain herself and to comfort her family and many friends. Patricia Ann Greer went home to be with her Lord on November 20, 2007. Her memorial service was held November 23, 2007, at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home in Camden, TN. Her life partner, Rev. Eulas Greer, along with Rev. Alan Trull, Dr. Mickey Carpenter, and Rev. Robert McKinney, officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Cemetery in Benton County, TN. She left love overflowing, as was a part of the prayer that she penned in her poem: "Well of Living Water"-Well of living water, Flow within my soul.
