Description	:	Patricia Ann Hennig, age 60, of Waterloo, Iowa, was born the daughter of Ben and Ruth (Miller) Hook on March 12, 1948, Aplington, Iowa. She graduated from the Aplington High School in 1966. Pat continued her education and attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa and then Colorado State University - Fort Collins where she graduated and received a degree in social work. Read More	Patricia Ann Hennig, age 60, of Waterloo, Iowa, was born the daughter of Ben and Ruth (Miller) Hook on March 12, 1948, Aplington, Iowa. She graduated from the Aplington High School in 1966. Pat continued her education and attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa and then Colorado State University - Fort Collins where she graduated and received a degree in social work. She was a social worker at Weld County in Colorado and then also was a social worker in Fort Collins. On August 26, 1972, Patricia was united in marriage with John Hennig at Poudre Canyon Chapel in Colorado. They made their home in Fort Collins, Colorado. After her children were born she stayed home and did day care for other families and eventually became a licensed day care provider. In 1978, they moved to Waterloo, Iowa. Pat was currently the social worker at the Black Hawk County Youth Shelter. Pat enjoyed reading and listening to music, especially Neal Diamond. She loved spending time with her family and attended her children's activities through the years. She really did enjoy her job, working with many different people and all of the youth at the shelter Pat died Monday, December 8, 2008, at the Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, Iowa, of natural causes. She was preceded in death by her father, Ben Hook on December 28, 1997. Pat is survived by her husband, John Hennig of Waterloo, Iowa; three sons, Ryan Hennig attending the Professional School of Psychology in Chicago, Illinois, Mathew Hennig attending the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, and Nathan Hennig attending the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa; her mother, Ruth Hook of Aplington, Iowa; five sisters, Brenda (Gary) Folkers of Waterloo, Iowa, Marcia (Arlan) Schaap of Dike, Iowa, Rhonda (Gary) Mart of Carroll, Iowa, Tammy (Gary) Kopperdryer of Marion, Iowa, and Kim (Russ) Lambertz of Ankeny, Iowa; and one brother, Leland Jan (Connie) Hook of Fall Creek, Wisconsin. Private Family Services will be Thursday at the Redman-Schwartz Funeral Chapel with burial in the Pleasant View Cemetery both in Aplington. Memorials may be directed to the Family.
