She passed away at the family home in Leavenworth. She was born Patricia Ann Bergren to Gus and Elva (Wilcox) Bergren in Leavenworth, where she grew up and received her education, graduating from Leavenworth High School in 1945. On June 29, 1946, she married Bob V. Foster. They resided on the family orchard near Peshastin until 1976, then they moved up to Blewett Pass. In 1985, Bob retired and they moved to Leavenworth. Pat kept very busy raising three children, helping out with grandchildren and ring for extras that had a need. She also worked at Niermen, Peshastin Hi-Up and Dryden Independent Warehouses. A most recent highlight of her life was being baptized in the Wenatchee River. She thoroughly enjoyed being a member of the board at Mountain Meadows, a volunteer at the Leavenworth Community Cupboard and taking advantage of the many trips offered by the Leavenworth and Wenatchee Senior Centers, especially the casino trips where she was an avid player of the penny machines. In the past, she made it a priority to be a part of a committed group of parents who followed girl's basketball at the old P-D High School. Pat loved flowers, children, family get-togethers and laughter. Her infectious love and caring spirit will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Bob Foster of the family home; daughter, Jean (Bob) Dennis of Peshastin; son, Bob (Lamona) Foster of Olympia and daughter, Darla (Keith) Bennett of Leavenworth; seven grandchildren, Gary Waunch, Dryden, Eric Waunch, Bothell, Stephen, Jonathan and Lauren Foster of Olympia, Quinn and Brooke Bennett of Leavenworth; sisters, Liz Brown and Margaret "Margo" Spado both of Leavenworth; brothers, David (Gloria) Bergren, Alfred (Duffy) Bergren and Carl (Sheila) Bergren all of Leavenworth and Mearl (Phyllis) Bergren of Cashmere. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Elva Bergren; and a brother, Harry Bergren. A Funeral Service of Commemoration to Celebrate the Life of Patricia A. Foster will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in the Dryden Community Church, with Pastor Gary Englert, officiating. Interment will be in the Peshastin Cemetery. Those who wish may make a memorial in her name to the Leavenworth Community Cupboard, P.O. Box 772; Leavenworth Senior Citizen Center, P.O. Box 1033; Leavenworth, WA 98826 or the Wenatchee Senior Center, 1312 Maple St, Wenatchee, WA 98801. Those wishing to make visitation, may call at the Ward's Funeral Chapel, Friday, October 14, 2005, between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Ward's Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth, is in charge of the arrangements.
