Patricia Ann Allman was born February 26, 1942, at Mapleton, Iowa, the daughter of Fred J. and Elizabeth D. (Albertsen) Stodden. She was raised in the Smithland area, graduating with the Smithland High School class of 1960. She was married to Keith Allman June 12, 1960, at the United Methodist Church in Anthon. The couple farmed in the Anthon and Oto area. Pat was very active in the 4-H program for 26 years, president of the subcommittee, chairman of record book committee and most recently elected leader of the Grant Go-Getters 4-H Club in the fall of 1996. She was also an active member of the United Methodist Women's Club for many years and past president nad active in the Piero Women's Club. Very active in the Woodbury Co. Pork Producers and President of the Pork-ettes for many years, she also did many pork promotions at the HyVee Food Stores which led to her employment for some 15 years, starting as a bakery wrapper, cake decorator, decorator designer and recently promoted to holiday coordinator. Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Todd (Kim) Rose of Oto, two sons, Keith of Industry, Illinois, and Chris of Sioux City, her mother, Elizabeth D. Stodden of Mapleton, one brother, Dale of Colorado Springs, Colorado, five sisters, Mrs. J.W. (Joyce) Ritchie of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Roger (Marilyn) Hladik of Anthon, Mrs. Arden (Karen) Larsen of Whiting, Mrs. Curtis (Dianna) Havick and Mrs. Mike (Lois) Meyer, all of Mapleton, eight grandchildren, 22 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, her grandparents, R.J. and Esther Albertsen and A.R. and Cora Stodden, two nephews and one niece.
