She was born August 17, 1936 in Ottumwa to Otis Lyle and Elsie Edna Dickerson Dowd. She married Rex Edler on April 2, 1953 and he preceded her in death on December 28, 2010. Colleen attended Westminster Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by brothers, Jim Dowd, Bob Dowd, Lyle Dowd and Jack Dowd; and sisters Doris Woodard, Mary Black, Betty Lathrop and Eileen Dowd. Her body has been cremated. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Monday, January 6, 2020 at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Skinner officiating. Inurnment will be in Shaul Cemetery.
