A resident of Ottumwa all of her life, she worked at St. Joseph Hospital for 20 years. She is survived by a son, Terry of Sandston, Minn.; two daughters, Kathy Ludwick and Rebecca Lathrop both of Eddyville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce Bishop, Colleen Edler and Donna Dignin all of Ottumwa; and two brothers, Bob Dowd of Ottumwa and Jack Dowd of Hawaii. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Dorris Woodard, Eileen Dowd and Mary Lou Black; and two brothers, Lyle and Jim Dowd. The service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home, the Rev. Barry Stewart of Albia Road Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Visitation will be begin at 1 p.m. today, with th family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Cree Schlegel, Robert Morton, Jerry Bishop, James Dowd, Del Dignin and Rex Edler. Memorials may be made to the family.
