Osweiler, daughter of John Steyne and Mayme Blanche Jindrich Steyne was born Tuesday, July 24, 1934 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and passed from this life Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Greater Community Hospital at 75 years of age. Patricia received her education in the Roosevelt High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and later achieved her LPN degree from St. Luke's School of Nursing. She was united in marriage to benedict Osweiler on November 10, 1956 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and seven children blessed this union. Patricia worked as a LPN for Westview Acres Care Center in Indianola. She retired in 2008 after fifteen years. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Osceola. Among her interests were ceramics, card games, flowers and gardening, puzzles, needlepoint and rooting on the Iowa State Cyclones. However, her most treasured times were spending time with her children and grandchildren. Those relatives who preceded Pat in death were her parents; sisters, Geraldine Wright, Roberta Milke and Carol Custer. She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband, Ben Osweiler; children, Tim Osweiler and wife Cherie of Cedar Rapids; Marcy Fotiadis and husband Dr. George of Osceola; Phil Osweiler and wife Holly of Williamsburg; Randy Osweiler and wife Candace of Williamsberg; Roger Osweiler and wife Paula of Victoria, MN; Kevin Osweiler and wife Anita of Pine Bluff, AR; and Brenda Hebl and husband Ed of Corydon. Also surviving are her 14 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brothers Gene Steyne and wife Helen of Pensacola, FL; and Danny Steyne of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Jacqueline Gaskill and husband Joe of Oswego, IL; Kathy Peel and husband Jimmy of DeFuniak Springs, FL; Linda Walleck of Cedar Rapids and Leah Fisher and husband Gary of Bella Vista, AR as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Memorials: May be directed to Knights of Columbus in Osceola or St. Bernard Catholic Church in Osceola. Visitation: Visitation will be open after 12 noon Tuesday with the family present to greet friends from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home in Osceola. Rosary services will begin at 7:30 P.M. Service: Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. at St. Bernard Catholic Church
