Read More	Patricia "Pat" Lynn Griggs January 4, 1947 – April 24, 2006 Patricia "Pat" Lynn Griggs died peacefully on Monday, April 24, 2006, at Central Washington Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born in Hot Springs, South Dakota on January 4, 1947. She joined her brother, Bart, and was the pride and joy of her parents, Roy and Ethelyn (Burjes) Clennon. They lived in Sturgis, S.D. where Roy was a State Game Warden. In 1956, he accepted a job with the Federal Fish and Wildlife Service and the family moved to Wenatchee. Pat attended schools in Wenatchee and graduated from WHS in 1965. Later in life, she received her AA Degree in accounting at WVC. On July 8, 1965, Pat married the love of her life, Marcus Griggs, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. They made their home and raised three children on the family orchard in Orondo. Pat lived there for forty one years and never tired of mowing the orchard grass or relishing a new season of her favorite bloom – apple blossoms. During that time, Pat worked for the US Postal Service delivering the rural mail route in Orondo. She also helped in the family owned Pine Canyon Fruit Company Warehouse and went on to be part of the management team at Orondo Fruit Company. What she loved most about her job was spending time and visiting with all the different people who came in the door. The heart of Pat's life was her family and the happiness she received from being with her kids and their families. She particularly enjoyed Johnny's daily drop-ins, meeting Marc and family at Starbucks, and stopping by Charlotte's park to visit with her and their campers. Always, she could be found on the sidelines of her grandkid's games and activities. She and Marcus had some wonderful trips to Europe and China, but probably her favorite was the 2004, trip to Disneyland when the family was all together. As an adopted child, Pat was able, later in life, to connect with eight of her biological brothers and sisters. To meet them, share backgrounds, and to keep in touch has been a meaningful part of Pat's life. Pat is survived by her husband, Marcus; her daughter, Charlotte (Jeff) Smith and children, Kayla and Madysen; her son, Marc (DeAnna) Griggs and children, Colby, Kylee and MaKenzie; her son, John (Mauri) Griggs and children, John and Jaden; and her brother, Bart (Sheila) Clennon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ethelyn Clennon. A Celebration of her Life will be held Friday, April 28, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in East Wenatchee.
