Wagner, 66, of Scribner passed away Saturday, February 6, 1999, at the Fremont Area Medical Center in Fremont. Patricia was born July 29, 1932, in rural Ames to Ernest Jacobsen and Olga (Hansen) Jacobsen. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1950 and attended Dana College for two years. She obtained a teaching certificate there. On June 6, 1952, she married Donald E. Wagner at Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church in Rural Fremont. She lived in rural Scribner area since her marriage in 1952 and moved into town with her husband in 1994. Donald passed away on June 7, 1998. Patricia worked for several years in Fremont for JP Originals, sewing wedding gowns and at the Good Samaritan Center in Scribner, for seven years, in the kitchen, retiring in August of 1997. She also did sewing, quilting and needlepoint for others from her home. She was a member of the United Lutheran Church in Scribner and the WELCA. She was active in the Prairie Piecemakers quilting club, the Extension Club, and served as a 4-H leader in the Lone Star 4-H Club for many years. Survivors include two sons, Dan and Wife, Vicki Wagner of Dodge, Dennis Wagner of Scribner; two daughters Debra and husband Carrol Wegner of Scribner, and Dee Wagner also of Scribner, a brother, Ralph Jacobsen of Texas, and six grandchildren. Preceding Patricia in death were her parents; husband; and a brother, Hap Jacobsen. A memorial service will be held today, Wednesday, Feb. 10 at the United Lutheran Church in Scribner at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Don will officiate. Her ashes will be buried following the memorial services at the Scribner Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to United Lutheran Church in Scribner.
