Read More	Ulysses Dispatch (Ulysses, Nebr.), March 15, 1911, p. 2, col. 5 OBITUARY. - Mr. Patrick Coyle, aged 80 yrs., 11 mos. and 24 days, died at his home four miles southwest of Ulysses on Wednesday, March 8, from the effects of a paralytic stroke which he received on March 1. Deceased was born in Roscommon county, Ireland, on March 14, 1830, and came with his parents to the United States and settled near Boston, Mass., when fifteen years of age. In a few years the family journeyed west-ward to Keokuk, Iowa, and later to Cascade Iowa, where he was married to Mary McCoy in 1855. Eight children came to bless their home, three of whom with their mother have gone to that happy home above. Deceased came with wife and family to Seward county, Nebr., in 1880, and settled in the vicinity of Ulysses where he resided until the time of his death. In those 31 years he made many warm friends by whom he will be kindly remembered, yet he ever spoke in the most endearing terms of the home of his happier, younger days, Cascade, Iowa. He was stricken with paralysis in June, 1908, and received a second stroke in March, 1909. From these he rapidly recovered and was in fairly good health when he received the third stroke a week before he died. He was a sincere Catholic and during his last illness he often expressed the wish to be with Jesus in heaven. He was fully aware of the approaching end and spent his last few days in fervent prayer with perfect resignation to the will of God. Four children: Mrs. Katie Ryan of Chicago, Mrs. Maggie Considine of Billings, Mont., Mr. F. E. Coyle of Iowa Falls, Iowa, and W. J. Coyle of Ulysses, Nebr., and three grandchildren, Miss Eva Cox of Chicago, and Charles and Joseph Coyle of Ulysses were present at the funeral. One daughter, Mrs. Nellie Simpson of Phoenix, Ariz., and six grandchildren being unable to attend. The funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. Father O'Brien, after which a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends followed the remains to the Catholic cemetery. My heart is sad, and I ask of thee O, where is grandpa gone from me?
