Patrick was born April 16, 1944, the son of the late Dennis and Evelyn (Kemerer) Slattery at Hicksville, Ohio. He was a 1962 graduate of Hicksville High School. On June 7, 1968 Patrick was united in marriage with Rickie Pierman. Together they attended Grace United Methodist Church. Patrick served in the National Guard for a number of years. Slattery, 70, died Friday July 25, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Patrick was born April 16, 1944, the son of the late Dennis and Evelyn (Kemerer) Slattery at Hicksville, Ohio. He was a 1962 graduate of Hicksville High School. On June 7, 1968 Patrick was united in marriage with Rickie Pierman. Together they attended Grace United Methodist Church. Patrick served in the National Guard for a number of years. He was employed at BF Goodrich and retired after 32 years of employment. He also owned Slattery Electric and was a farmer. He served on the Defiance County Fair Board and was a member of the Hicksville Eagles Aerie #2556. Patrick is survived by his wife, four sons; Shad of Hicksville, Troy (Abby) of Ft. Wayne, IN, Scott (Cheri) of Augusta, GA, Tom (Olivia) of Ft. Wayne, IN; a daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Nelson of Murfreesboro, TN; (12) grandchildren. Also surviving are five siblings; Delores (David) Michael, Donna (Marv) Rice, Deanna (Jim) Wise, Darlene Thieken and James (Carol) Slattery. Visitation for Patrick will be Monday 2:00-8:00 at Smith & Brown Funeral Home in Hicksville. The funeral will be Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church, Hicksville at 11:00 with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
