Patrick Fitzgibbon, after an illness of only a few days of pneumonia. Mr. Fitzgibbon was in town Saturday, not feeling very well but it was not supposed anything serious was ailing him and didn't realize that he was very ill until the next day when a doctor was called who found him suffering with a severe case of pneumonia which caused his death in a short time. Patrick Fitzgibbon was born at Limerick, Ireland, in 1845, being at the time of his death about 65 years old. In 1867 he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Casey, four years later coming to America and locating in New York. To this union thirteen children were born, eight of them surviving him. They are James, Dan and Miss Nell Fitzgibbon, Mrs. Frank Newby of Tobias, John Fitzgibbon and Mrs. Minnie Haitt, Cambridge, William of Superior, and Patrick of Fairbury, all of who were here to attend the funeral. His wife died about seven years ago. Mr. Fitzgibbon came to this community about 14 years ago and has made his home here since that time and for several years has lived on the farm where he died. Funeral services were held at his late home Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock conducted by Rev. Father Mosler of Odell. Interment was beside his wife in the Tobias Cemetery. The surviving members of the family have the sympathy of all in their bereavement. The Tobias Express ----- March 18, 1910
