Description	:	Patrick's parents came from Ireland in 1836 to settle in an Irish community in Wisconsin. They were Michael and Elizabeth (Rogers) O'Rourk. Patrick was one of 3 sons and 8 daughters. He came to Gordon in 1893. Prior to that he had practiced law and had been in the Senate in Wisconsin. In Kansas he had been the Attorney for the Union Pacific Railroad as they laid tracks west. In Nebraska, he helped incorporate the town of Humphrey. Around 1906, he was Justice of the Peace in Gordon and often performed marriages.
