Description	:	The many friends of the John O'Brien family who live about six miles west of Ryan, have the sympathy of the community in the loss of son and brother who died in Denver, Colorado, on last Thursday. Patrick O'Brien was born twenty-three years ago on the farm now occupied by his father. He attended the country school until he completed the eighth grade, afterwards going to Coggon High school, where he graduated. Read More	The many friends of the John O'Brien family who live about six miles west of Ryan, have the sympathy of the community in the loss of son and brother who died in Denver, Colorado, on last Thursday. Patrick O'Brien was born twenty-three years ago on the farm now occupied by his father. He attended the country school until he completed the eighth grade, afterwards going to Coggon High school, where he graduated. He was ambitious for a higher education and chose one of the best of schools, St. Joseph's college in which to pursue his studies. He attended school there for several years until his health failed him and he had to leave the college. He left here about three years ago and traveled through Mexico, California and died as above stated. The remains arrived in Coggon Saturday evening and were met by a large crowd of sympathizing friends. Patrick was deprived of a loving mother's care at an early age, she having died several years ago. Although he died far away from father, brothers and only sister, he was looked after in his last illness by a kind priest, Father Ryan of Denver and who took charge of the body and shipped the remains here. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon from the home thence to Monti where he was laid by the side of his mother. Father O"Donnell and Father Conry of St. Joseph's college officiated.
