Williams Funeral Home of Edgar, NE is in charge of the arrangements. ===== Patrick Larry Tolle was born at Rangely, Colorado on August 21, 1946 to Elzora (Adams) and Dale Tolle. His father worked in the oil field near Rangely and in 1950, the family moved to Clay Center, Nebraska and later to Edgar. Pat attended school in Edgar and graduated with the class of 1964. He worked for a short time at a farm dealership in Edgar. Pat served with the United States Army from December 1965 until his discharge from service in December of 1967. He continued his formal education by attending North Eastern Jr. College at Sterling, Colorado for two years, the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley for four years receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree and Emporia State University for three years in Denver, Colorado where he earned his Master's Degree. While attending Emporia College he was united in marriage with Margaret "Tolle". Pat had been in the construction business with partner Richard Graff. Pat and Margaret lived in Sandpoint, Idaho with good friends Karen and Dave Black, helping Dave build a house. He and Margaret divorced after five years. Pat married Pam Parker in Holyoke, Colorado in 1981-1985. While on the job he suffered a severe stroke and they divorced a year later. After recovering and therapy he was manager of the library in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, then to Cheyenne State Library of Wymoing for six months, then to the McCook, Nebraska library for six months. He returned to Edgar and lived with his parents, Dale and Elzora Tolle, until their passing. He remained in the home until he injured his hip and ended in the Harvard House in Harvard, Nebraska. After 2 1/2 years he developed a serious illness and passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Pat had a zest for life. He loved people and children, and they loved him. Pat was a good person and extremely intelligent. In 1964, he received a Congressional Nomination from Senator Carl Curtis to report to Offutt AFB in Omaha for the college board examination and physical aptitude examination. Unknown to the family he declined. He loved the mountains, Colorado, fishing, camping, hiking, hunting and car racing. Surviving are his brothers, Dan Tolle and wife Sharon of Blue Hill, Nebraska; Mike Tolle and wife Margaret of Edgar, Nebraska; a sister, Elizabeth Strump and husband Bill of Iowa; cousin, Gail (Tolle) and Keith Dreher of Hastings, Nebraska; Jim Tolle of Hastings, Nebraska; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents; grandparents; aunts and uncles. Services were Monday, 10:00 a.m., October 16, 2017 at the Williams Funeral Home in Edgar with Pastor David King officiating.
