'''''''''''' The Ulysses Dispatch, November 25, 1903, p. 2, col. 3 DIED - Mr. Patrick Reynolds, aged 87 yrs. and 7 days, died at his home 2 miles south of Ulysses, on Nov. 17, '03 after a few weeks illness. Deceased was born in Carrikavoher, Leitrim Co., Ireland, Nov. 10, 1816. He came to America in 1850, living five years in New York state, and three years at Charleston, South Carolina. Although Mr. Reynolds was busy caring for his family amid the trials of a new county, he yeared to visit the home of his early childhood, and in 1858 he removed to Ireland. He came again to the U.S. and settled on a farm 2 miles south of Ulysses in the early days of 1874. On March 7, 1852, he was married to Miss Katherine Prestige who died a few years ago. Four children were born to them, Edward (deceased), Mrs. Lizzie McGuinness, Frank, and Mrs. Annie Johnson (deceased). Mr. Reynold was a kind neighbor and an affectionate father and will be missed by a host of friends who extend to the bereaved children and grand children their tenderest sympathy. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Father Murphy, at the Ulysses Catholic church, on Nov. 19, after which the remains were taken to the Catholic cemetery and laid to rest by the side of his wife. ______ Card of Thanks - We desire to return thanks to our kind friends and neighbors who assisted us during the sickness and death of our beloved father.
