Description	:	Patsy Jane Thomas Clendaniel passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Compass Regional Hospice Center in Centreville. She was 84. Born June 23, 1931, in Grasonville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Alfonzy and Catherine Thomas. Patsy married her husband of 64 years, Jimmy Clendaniel in March of 1951. Patsy worked for the State of Maryland as a telephone operator for over 30 years. She was a member of the Grasonville United Methodist Church, where she loved to sing in the choir. Read More	Patsy Jane Thomas Clendaniel passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Compass Regional Hospice Center in Centreville. She was 84. Born June 23, 1931, in Grasonville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Alfonzy and Catherine Thomas. Patsy married her husband of 64 years, Jimmy Clendaniel in March of 1951. Patsy worked for the State of Maryland as a telephone operator for over 30 years. She was a member of the Grasonville United Methodist Church, where she loved to sing in the choir. She was also a past member of the Grasonville Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. Patsy sang and played the guitar on the radio at an Annapolis radio station in the early 1950’s. She is survived by one son; Craig Clendaniel and wife Lynn, granddaughter; Lorilyn Nash, grandson; Brian Clendaniel (Mary), great-grandson; Christopher Nash all of Centreville, several nieces and nephews, her dearest friend Patsy Lee Dennis of Salisbury, and her longtime neighbors; Lorraine Haddaway and Kim and Ava Honeycutt. She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy and her sister, Mary Catherine Johnson. Services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday April 13, 2016, at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home in Chester, where family and friends may visit from 1:00-2:00pm Burial will be private at the Stevensville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Immanuel United Methodist Church, 102 School Ln, Grasonville, MD 21638 or Compass Regional Hospice Inc., 255 Comet Drive Centreville, MD 21617.
