She was born November 11, 1932 in Stokes County to Robert William and Cassie Gibson Heath. Patty attended Germanton School. She worked as a secretary to her husband for over 50 years in his plumbing business. She was a member of Corinth Church of Christ and in her later years, she attended Poplar Springs Church of Christ. Read More	KING- Patty June Heath Griffin, 81, died Tuesday morning, September 23, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 11, 1932 in Stokes County to Robert William and Cassie Gibson Heath. Patty attended Germanton School. She worked as a secretary to her husband for over 50 years in his plumbing business. She was a member of Corinth Church of Christ and in her later years, she attended Poplar Springs Church of Christ. A 4:00 pm funeral service will be held Friday, September 26, 2014 at Corinth Church of Christ with Rev. Jim Springer and Rev. Chuck Bower officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Elizabeth Fansler, Sally Fansler, Lillie James and Inez Brown and 7 brothers, Charlie, Rufus, Abe, John, Robert, Edward and Joe Heath. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, J. Earl Griffin of the home; daughters, Janet Jones and husband Ronnie, Carol Spencer and husband Dallas, both of King and Debbie Banner and husband Randy of Germanton; sons, Mark Griffin and wife Suzanne of King and Randy Griffin and wife Janet of Rural Hall; 9 grandchildren, Dee Spencer and friend, Carrie, Byron Banner and wife Michelle, Cassie Spencer and fiancé, Matt, Steven Jones and wife Natalie, Scott Jones, Jonathan Griffin, Ryan Griffin, Alyson Griffin and Olivia Livingston; 6 great grandchildren, Eli Banner, Ethan Banner, Emma Spencer, Payton Spencer, Addison Spencer and Kennadee Spencer . The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm, Friday, September 26, 2014 at Corinth Church of Christ and other times at the home. Memorials can be made to Corinth Church of Christ Cemetery Fund, 2784 South Friendship Road, Germanton, NC 27019. or to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
