Hans Sacrison officiated. Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery in Philip. Active pallbearers were Willis Bloom, Douglas Urban, Cal Hoag, Bob Coyle, Dale Buster Peterson and Darral Brooks. He was born Nov. 11, 193, a son of George and Mary Remly Urban who farmed near Broadland, S.D. He grew up on the farm and did farm work early in his life. He married Helen Edith May Peterson on April 27, 1940 in Rapid City, S.D. During the early part of World War II he worked in shipyards in Long Beach, Calif. After returning to Philip he did garage and custodial work until his retirement. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Philip, the Bad River Senior Citizens and a former member of the Philip Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include his wife, Helen Urban of Philip; a son, Bruce P. Tiny Urban and his wife, Marlene, of Modesto, Calif., and their children, Kelli and Brent Urban; a daughter, Susan Tweetum Magnuson and her husband, Dennis, of Rock Springs and their children, Jerry and Doug Magnuson; two sisters, his twin sister, Pauline Poulisse of Sioux City, Iowa, and Opal Beesler, Modesto, Calif.; several other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Roy, George, Arthur and Harvey; and two sisters, Leta and Laura.
