Description	:	Paul Edward Lechman, 82, of Sterling passed away peacefully on Palm Sunday, March 25, 2018 in Sterling. Visitation will be on Good Friday, March 30, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Tennant Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be on Monday, April 2 at 9:00 am at Tennant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Bodzioch celebrating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Paul was born on June 26, 1935 in Sterling to Jacob and Catherine Lechman. He married Glennis Pyle of Iliff, CO on May 2, 1959. They had a loving marriage until her death on September 5, 1997. He graduated from St. Anthony’s High School in 1953. Paul went to work at Modern Floors in Sept. of 1954, and retired in 1998. He was well known for his flooring techniques. People were still wanting him to do there floor and tile work. Paul was an avid softball player in his younger years. He was active with his children and their activities including adventures with coaching and girl and boy scouts. He was a skilled craftsman, always working on something up until his death. He was also a member of the Elks and Knights of Columbus. Paul always had a history of wisdom to share with everyone. Paul is survived by his daughter Marilynn Hewitt and husband Ron; sons Mark Lechman and wife Kristy, and Michael Lechman and wife Paula all of Sterling; granddaughters Jennifer Ferguson, Courtney Hewitt, Jessica Lechman; grandsons Zachary Hewitt and Ryen Lechman; great-grandson Jackson Hewitt; sisters Joan and Jacob Stieb of CO, Katie and Ed Stolz of CO, Dorothy and Guy Henry of CA; brothers Harry and Lou Anne Lechman of CO, Jim and Kathy Lechman of CO; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Glennis and parents Jacob and Catherine. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Paul’s name to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in care of Tennant Funeral Home, PO Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
