Attending the services from this area were Mrs. Jack Adams and Mrs. Carl Callen, sisters of the deceased. Paul Edward Brown, eldest son of Roy M. and Martha F. Brown was born March, 4, 1904 in North Platte, Nebraska. He moved to Lewellen with his parents at the age of two years. He attended the Lewellen schools and graduated from Lewellen high school in 1922. He was enrolled in the University of Nebraska for three and a half years and was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. He was united in marriage Miss Dorothy Rieck of Lewellen in 1936. A son, Larry, was born to this union. Paul was employed by the Agricultural office in Oshkosh until 1939. when he was stricken by paralyzing polio. He and his family moved to Alta Dena, California, in 1941 for him to undergo treatment for polio. He remained there until the time of his death May 31, 1963. He was preceded in death by an infant sister Ruth in 1911, and his father Roy M. in 1962. Services were held at Mountain View Chapel with interment at the Mountain View cemetery with Rev. Randall B. Scott officiating on June 3, 1963. Survivors left to mourn his death are his wife Dorothy, son Larry and his wife Myrna, mother Mrs. Roy M Brown of Oshkosh, brothers, Charles of Santa Barbara, California, Francis of Omaha, sisters, Margaret Callen of Ogallala, Isabel Adams of Oshkosh, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
