Born August 23, 1918, at Accident, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Cora (Schlosnagle) Miller. He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 67 years, Orpha H. Read More	Paul Henry Miller, 96, of Accident, MD, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born August 23, 1918, at Accident, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Cora (Schlosnagle) Miller. He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 67 years, Orpha H. (Bach) Miller on October 28, 2012; two sisters, Mary Strauss and Helen Ault and one brother, Emmert Miller. Mr. Miller was a dairy farmer and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church (ELCA) Accident. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II, who served in Washington, DC; France and Germany and was a member of Grantsville Post 214, American Legion. He is survived by three daughters, Betty Miller and husband, Edward, Bel Air, MD; Jean Purks and husband, Robert, Oak Hill, VA; Margaret Carlson and husband, Richard, Accident; one son, Paul D. Miller and wife, Carla, Accident; two grandchildren, Stacy Carlson and husband, Jay Quinn, Mt. Lake Park, MD and Anthony Miller, Accident; one brother, Robert Miller, Hebron, MD; and two sisters, Gladys Wisowaty, Reisterstown, MD and Kathleen Smith, Baltimore. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD, on Monday, September 15, 2014, from 7-9 pm. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at 11:00 am with the Rev. Peter Suwak officiating. Following cremation, interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Accident. Military rites will be accorded at the funeral service by Grantsville Post 214, American Legion.
