He had also worked as Purina Feeds sales manager in northeast Nebraska for 19 years before joining the Grosserode Company.Among his numerous community activities, he was a volunteer at Madonna Rehabilitation Center in Omaha. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Lincoln; sons, David and Tom, both of Omaha and John of Lincoln; daughter, Joanne Bennett and Jane Loken, both of Lincoln; brothers, Steve of Lincoln and James of New Braunfels, Texas; sisters, Mary Brucker of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Frances Petersen of Edina, Minnesota, and 14 grandchildren.
